Austin enters his third season of pro ball. He signed as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2017 season with the Kansas City Royals organization and pitched in one season in that farm system. He came to Washington last season in the middle of the year and held a 3-3 record and 4.08 ERA in 14 games (12 starts). Austin K’d 63 in 70.2 innings pitched for the Wild Things. He helped UMBC to the 2017 America East title.
