Bogucki joins the Wild Things after parts of four seasons in the Nationals’ organization, as he signed with the Wild Things officially Friday, May 31. After a successful three years at UNC that followed a successful career at Boyertown Area HS in PA, Bogucki signed with the Nationals after the team made him an 8th round choice in the 2016 MLB Draft. Bogucki reached as high as High-A Potomac in the Carolina League, where he last pitched. In nine games this season for the club, AJ logged 15.2 innings in nine appearances from the pen, and fanned 19. His best affiliated time came between 2017-18, where he split time with the Hagerstown Suns of the South Atlantic League (A ball) and Potomac. In Potomac in 2018, Bogucki was 3-2 with a 1.42 ERA in 16 appearances (one start), as he logged 31.2 innings and allowed just five earned runs while striking out 33 to just 12 walks.
