Reid signed with the Wild Things Friday, July 13, for his first professional contract. Zach just wrapped up playing his final two seasons of collegiate ball at West Virginia University, after transferring there from the University of Tennessee, where he started his college career. He posted a 2.40 ERA this past season in 19 appearances for the Mountaineers, who hosted their first regional in program history in 2019. Zach, once the No. 5 ranked LHP in Alabama according to Perfect Game while at Trinity Presbyterian School in Montgomery, Alabama, gets his first pro look, and looks to make an impact from the Wild Things’ bullpen.
