WIld Things Sign UTIL Graham Brown, Former Evansville Otters, Coastal Carolina Standout

WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 2) – The Washington Wild Things are excited to announce the signing of utilityman Graham Brown, who spent the 2025 season with the Evansville Otters to start his pro career, to a deal for the 2026 season. Brown had nearly 40 extra-base hits last summer with Evansville after originally signing with Cleburne of the American Association before being traded to the Otters in April before the season.

Brown was a one-time Frontier League Player of the Week last year as he was selected for the weekly honor in May after a week that saw him go 12-for-22 at the plate with six RBI, six stolen bases and eight runs scored. In a mid-week series against the Schaumburg Boomers, Brown had three multi-hit games with five total RBI before registering three hits in a weekend set against Lake Erie, including a triple. Overall, Brown slashed an impressive .279/.345/.453 with 103 hits, 26 of which were doubles, the aforementioned triple and 12 of which were long balls. He drove in 53 and was 15-for-20 in stolen-base attempts. He scored 70 runs.

The Maryland native did some damage against the Wild Things, hitting three of his 12 homers against Washington. In 12 games against his new team, he drove in nine. In the wild 15-12 Washington loss at Evansville on June 18, Brown was 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI to go with three runs scored.

Brown played three seasons at Coastal Carolina and collected nearly 200 hits (196) in 177 games. He doubled 57 times, homered 36 times and drove in 176 to go with 22 stolen bases and 84 walks drawn in his three campaigns with the Chanticleers.

In 2024, Brown was All-Sun Belt First Team after slashing .353/.456/.601 (1.057 OPS) as a super senior and had 18 doubles, 12 homers and 62 RBI at the plate. He stole 10 bags and scored 50 times in 59 games. He started all 63 games in 2023 and batted .278 with 17 homers and 71 RBI. He was All-Sun Belt Second Team that season. Graham slashed .302/.394/.528 with 15 doubles, seven homers and 43 RBI in 55 games in 2022, his first season at Coastal Carolina.

Graham spent his first two collegiate seasons at WVU Potomac State College, where he was tabbed an NJCAA Division I Third-Team All-American in 2021 along with being named NJCAA All-Region XX Division I First Team. In a game versus Cecil College that season, he was 6-for-9 with a home, two triples, two doubles, seven RBI and six runs, hitting for the cycle. He slashed .496/.582/.784 in 43 games that season and clubbed 17 doubles, four triples and five homers plus drove in 56. In the shortened 2020 season, he was 14-for-42 with five extra-base hits and seven RBI.

He was ranked as the No. 9 shortstop and No. 42 overall prospect in the state of Maryland for the Class of 2019 while at Middletown High School. He was a 2019 Perfect Game preseason All-American prior to his senior year as well as Perfect Game preseason Atlantic Regional Honorable Mention that same season. He was two-time All-Area, a 2017 state champion, a 2019 conference district champion and a member of the 2016 state championship soccer team. Graham also played two summers, totaling 25 games, for Strasburg in the Valley League.
