Balaguer returns to Washington after a successful book end to the 2018 season, and probably would have been the FLCS MVP had Washington managed to win the series. Jesus was exceptional in the postseason, striking out 13 over 7.2 innings in seven games. In 18 innings during the regular season, he fanned 34. Balaguer had his contract purchased by the Arizona organization in the offseason, but was released during Spring Training. He made one appearance with the Kansas City T-Bones in the American Association this year before he was released and signed with Washington officially again on May 28. It’s his second season with the Wild Things and 6th in pro ball.
