Havird is set to begin his third season of pro ball and third in the Frontier League in 2019. It will be his first season with the Wild Things after two with the Traverse City Beach Bums. Havird made 18 starts in both seasons for the Beach Bums and had an ERA below 4.00 each season. Havird signed with the Wild Things November 2, 2018 along with teammate Tyler Barss, a reliever for the Wild Things.
