Hughes enters his second season of pro ball and first in the Frontier League and with the Wild Things in 2019. He played in 42 games for the Martinez Clippers of the Pacific Association last year. He signed with the Wild Things October 17, 2018. Hughes hit nine home runs and drove in 31 with the Clippers in 2018 after hitting 16 home runs in his four seasons at Monmouth. His sister Jessie plays softball at Rutgers.
