Bene signed his first professional contract June 6, 2019 with the Wild Things, and will get his first taste of pro ball with the team. Drew spent two seasons at Shippensburg in the PSAC of NCAA Division 2 baseball after playing a season and having 14 at bats at Stony Brook in D-1. He hit 10 home runs and drove in 68 runs in the two years for the Raiders.
