Strong Pitching, Hitting Lead Wild Things to Win
WASHINGTON, Pa. (August 17) - After falling behind 1-0, the Wild Things scored the next seven runs, and eventually took the game by a final of 7-2 Saturday at Wild Things Park. Nick Gallagher allowed two runs over 6.1 innings for his second win of the season while five players notched multi-hot performances.

Windy City started the scoring in the second inning when Tyler Straub doubled home Tyler Alamo. The lead would be short-lived, as the Wild Things scored four times in the third. Cody Erickson knocked home the first run with a base hit. Ryan Cox then tripled home a pair before Brett Marr lifted a sac fly to score the fourth tally.

In the third, Washington added two more, with the highlight being a Shaine Hughes RBI triple. The Wild Things ended up getting a run in the fifth on a single by JJ Fernandez, which capped the scoring. Zach Rheams added his first Bolts' homer later in the game to make it 7-2.

Every hitter with the exception of one in the lineup for Washington had at least one hit, with five notching two-hit games: JR Davis, Shaine Hughes, Hector Roa, JJ Fernandez and Stephen Lohr. Jesus Balaguer's scoreless ninth to close the game brought his scoreless streak to 15.1 innings.

The Wild Things and ThunderBolts will play a rubber game tomorrow at 5:35 p.m. ET at Wild Things Park.
