Wild Things Sign RHP Trevor Foss

The Washington Wild Things have bolstered their starting rotation by signing RHP Trevor Foss.

Foss played collegiately at Texas A&M- Corpus Christi, overcoming Tommy John surgery his early years and sparkling his senior season for the Islanders. During the 2013 campaign, Foss made 15 starts and struck out 103 batters in 102 innings pitched. In the 22nd round of the June MLB Draft, the Los Angeles Angels came calling and selected the 6'3 RHP from Wisconsin. In 2015, Foss shined in the hitter-friendly league, racking up 63 strikeouts in 77 innings of work and ending the season with a 3.32 ERA. Foss joins the Wild Things totaling over 200 innings pitched with the Angels, making 16 starts and collecting 163 strikeouts over that time. Washington manager, Gregg Langbehn, explained what the signing of Foss means, ""Signing Foss was a priority for us and we can't wait to see him in action. Trevor can give us some length in games and be a significant contributor for our rotation. This was an important signing for the Wild Things.”

The Washington Wild Things will play their home opener May 20 against the Lake Erie Crushers at 7:05 p.m.  For more information, visit washingtonwildthings.com or call 724.250.9555.
