WASHINGTON, Pa. (August 2) – The Washington Wild Things announced that the ballpark will play host to Forty’s Hard Rock Tribute Festival on Sunday, September 23. The day-long festival gets underway at noon and concludes at 11 p.m. according to officials.
“We’ve done many concerts over the years,” said Wild Things’ Vice President and General Manager, Steven Zavacky. “This is the first time this genre has performed here, and we’re looking forward to it!”
The festival will feature several bands including Budderside, a Hard Rock group out of Hollywood, California who will perform new music from an upcoming CD that they intend to release soon. Silk9, another rock group is from the Pittsburgh area.
“This festival is for those young and older, who love and enjoy hard-hitting rock music…the music they grew up with,” said Rob Merashoff, the festival organizer and owner of Forty Bar & Grille. “The tribute-band portion of the festival ensures that attendees will hear all of their favorite tunes by talented bands that pay tribute to Metallica, Def Leopard, AD/DC, Van Halen, Motley Crue and Poison.”
