Wild Things Release LHP Hunter Williams
WASHINGTON, Pa., June 2 - The Washington Wild Things made a roster move this morning, releasing left-handed pitcher Hunter Williams. The team does not have a corresponding move as of Friday afternoon.
In his first season with the Wild Things, Williams made three starts and pitched 12.1 innings. The left-hander had an earned run average of 7.29 through his first three appearances, and struck out 13 batters. Of the 13, 10 came in five innings in Williams' first start as a Wild Thing, when he pitched five innings and took the loss against the Lake Erie Crushers. Williams walked 13 batters in just over 12 innings and surrendered 14 hits.
The Wild Things host the Traverse City Beach Bums tonight, Friday, June 2, at 7:05 p.m. in the first of a three-game series at Wild Things Park.
