Mark your Calendar for 4th of July Weekend Festivities
Wild Things Park will be the place to be for the Independence Day weekend, as the Washington Wild Things have a full slate of activities for fans. The Wild Things play home games June 27th-July 2nd, with the holiday festivities beginning Friday, June 30th.
Friday will begin with 500 Free T-Shirts presented by Mylan to those lucky, early fans. You’ll #Celebrate15 in a custom Red, White & Blue design while you watch America’s Pastime. Post-game, get ready for the biggest Firework show of the year! Our annual Firework Extravaganza will kick off your weekend with the perfect “bang”.
Saturday, bring your Rockin’ in the USA spirit and your backyard barbecue hunger! The first 500 fans receive an Uncle Sam 4th of July Stove Pipe hat and the stadium will be decorated in Stars & Stripes. What’s a 4th of July weekend without some great hot dogs? Saturday, July 1st will be a Double Dog Saturday where fans can purchase 2 dogs for the price of 1, but that’s not all! Want to get Coney Island competitive here at the ballpark? We are hosting our 1st Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest presented by Hatfield and Reinhart Food Services with a cash prize! Registration for this 3 minute Eating Contest costs $10 and the winner collects the pot (up to $600).
Unwind and have a little Sunday Funday at the ballpark on July 2nd. This 5:05pm affair will conclude with Kids Run the Bases and an Autograph Session with the Wild Things players.
