WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington Wild Things have announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Frank Trimarco. Trimarco, a native of Merrick, New York, will be active tonight. No corresponding move will be made, as Trimarco becomes the 23rd man on the Wild Things’ active roster.

Trimarco comes to the Wild Things from the Pecos League’s Tucson Saguaros, where he pitched his way to a 3.14 earned run average and a 4-2 record in 14 appearances spanning 57.1 innings. He surrendered 60 hits and 23 runs (20 earned) while holding a 59 to 10 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

The southpaw spent the previous four seasons in collegiate ball, where he pitched at Monmouth University. In four years, Trimarco was 18-15 with a 4.64 ERA in 61 appearances (31 starts). He struck out 190 batters in 252 innings, while owning a WHIP of 1.39.

He also played two summers with the Mystic Schooners of the New England Collegiate League. In 2014, Trimarco was 4-3 with a 3.37 ERA in 34.2 innings. In 2015, he only pitched 4.1 innings with the team.

Washington is in action tonight against the Joliet Slammers at 8:05 p.m.
