The Washington Wild Things and the leaders of North Franklin Township have forged a great partnership over the past 16 years. What is now known as Wild Things Park was the first business to take residence at the top of the hill above the Washington Crown Center. In its wake, many other businesses have followed including medical, dining, financial, and sports/entertainment.
“We enjoy being a part of North Franklin Township,” said General Manager, Steven Zavacky. “The supervisors and the North Franklin Township police and fire departments have worked with us on a variety of projects, and I think we work very well together.”
The North Franklin Township Supervisors issued a proclamation at their August 8th meeting. The proclamation states that August 26th is Wild Things’ Appreciation Day.
“The Wild Things are offering special tickets for Blue Grass in the Outfield to all North Franklin Township residents,” said Supervisor Chairperson, Martha Ward. “All residents who wish to attend the concert can stop into the Township Building to pick up their vouchers. There are a limited number of tickets, so we encourage people to stop in soon.”
