Wild Things and CONSOL Energy Park Shine Light on Domestic Violence

WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA – CONSOL Energy Park and the Washington Wild Things will be hosting a game Sunday, June 19, 2016 in conjunction with a Father’s Day promotion, to bring awareness to domestic violence.

The 5:05 p.m. game will educate attendees on the signs of domestic violence and what to do if it were to occur. The Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania will be present to disseminate information regarding the cause. Fans will be encouraged to sign a banner to pledge that they will refrain from domestic violence in all aspects.

Each Wild Things player will be wearing a special purple jersey donated by Precision Marshall and Amica in recognition of the cause. After the game, these jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

“The Wild Things and Rebellion and everyone involved at CONSOL Energy Park believe that Domestic Violence Awareness is an issue that must be addressed,” said Christine Blaine, Director of Marketing and Communication at CONSOL Energy Park. “We support our friends at Domestic Violence Services of SW Pennsylvania, and we are delighted to be a part of bringing the message to our fans and supporters.”

Since this event falls on Father’s Day, the first 500 dads in attendance will receive a croakie also courtesy of Precision Marshall and Amica.
