Washington Wild Things Help Fight Kidney Disease
WASHINGTON, PA – The Washington Wild Things and CONSOL Energy Park will be hosting an event to help bring awareness to, and fight, kidney disease. The Saturday, July 16, 2016 game will be played at 7:05 p.m. and will be put on in conjunction with Giveaway Saturday where the first 1,000 fans will receive a fire hat courtesy of CONSOL Energy.
During the matchup against the Southern Illinois Miners, the Wild Things will be wearing orange and black jerseys – donated by Keith Owen Campbell, Attorney at Law. The jerseys will be auctioned off and benefit the Kidney Foundation in Washington, Pa. The organization will be present to disseminate information about the disease, and how people can get involved to help find a cure.
“We want to be involved in all kinds of community activities, and we’ve learned over the past two years that we have several fans, colleagues, and sponsors who have been affected by kidney disease,” said Chris Blaine, Director of Marketing and Communication for CONSOL Energy Park. “We want to be able to help them by bringing attention to the disease any by supporting the people dealing with the disease. It feels good when you know you’re doing something to help people, and that’s what we do at CONSOL Energy Park!”
