Tony Buccilli is approaching his 12th year working in professional baseball. 2023 will be his 11th with the Washington Wild Things.
A native of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, Tony played high school baseball at Franklin Regional and operated the family business of indoor batting cages. After a season playing at Wingate University, he transferred to Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he completed his undergrad in Pharmacy and Masters degree in Sports Management. Tony began his tenure with Washington in 2012 and only took a brief stint away to work for the Texas Rangers Baseball Operations department during the 2014 season.
Tony has remained active in the local baseball community both with the Wild Things and away from the office. He developed a Youth Baseball Initiative focused on giving athletes quality baseball memories and providing funds to non-profit leagues. Additionally, he is an active Board Member of Washington Youth Baseball.
Away from the office, Tony enjoys thinking about work, is a Dunkin’ iced coffee disciple, and proudly holds the title of Fastest Eater he knows. He is an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Penguins and lives off movie quotes.
