Connor Peek Signed to Active Roster In Advance of Doubleheader Saturday
WASHINGTON, Pa. (May 23) – The Washington Wild Things have signed infielder Connor Peek to the active roster prior to tonight’s doubleheader against the Joliet Slammers. Peek was an All-BIG EAST Second Team player this season at Georgetown, his only year at the school.
This season he slashed .355/.455/.507 for the Hoyas and had 15 doubles, six long balls and 45 runs batted in. He was successful on 18 of 20 base-stealing attempts and walked 32 times against only 18 strikeouts in 267 plate appearances. He was named All-BIG EAST Second Team as a grad student at Georgetown this season and had 30 hits, four doubles, two homers and nine RBI in conference play.
Prior to Georgetown, he spent four years at Holy Cross, seeing action in three (the exception was 2024). In 2022, he played in 39 games and hit .274 with four doubles, a homer and 18 RBI in 126 plate appearances. He drove in 10 in 36 games in 2023 and broke out in 2025 after missing 2024. He slashed .331/.399/.451 that season with eight doubles, a triple, two homers and 28 RBI and was named All-Patriot League Second Team and the recipient of the Ray Dobens Award. He was Patirot League Rookie of the Week (5/10/22) and Patriot League All-Tournament Team (2022) in his time at Holy Cross as well.
Peek played four varsity seasons as a shortstop at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School and was team captain as a senior along with being named 2021 All-Dual County League and a MetroWest All Star that same season. His father Jeff was a four-year centerfielder for Lehigh.
Peek is with the club and active today for the doubleheader, which begins at 5:05 p.m. and features two seven-inning games with game two following the first’s conclusion by about 30 minutes.
